4 Tips for How To Get Your Ex Boyfriend Back

Being dumped by your boyfriend is an unbelievably painful thing to have to go through…although chances are I don’t have to tell you that if you’re reading this. The great thing to know though, is that life can continue on and you can even be happy!

You just need the right information at your disposal so you don’t unknowingly do something that throws your chances of getting your ex back. Here are a few tips to help you on your way.

1) One huge mistake people make just after a breakup is to try to “throw” themselves at their ex in an effort to prove how much they care and how dedicated they are to making things work. It’s a panic reflex, and it’s not the best of ideas. After a breakup, it’s a good idea to avoid as much contact as possible, really none unless you have to be in the same places like class or work (and even then keep it no more than just civil). The key to this is to let your ex have time and space to miss you.

2) Another big mistake to avoid is sometimes called “drunk dialing.” It’s one of the main reasons why it’s a bad idea to turn to drugs or alcohol for some help to ease the breakup pain. This is when it’s late at night, you’re half-wasted, and incredibly lonely. Sometimes you’ll get the idea that you should call your ex and tell him everything on your mind about how much you love and miss him and how badly you want to change and all that other romantic movie stuff. If there’s any shred of hope in you of getting your ex back…do NOT do this. It may seem like a good idea at the time, but it only works in movies…and in real life it tends to have the opposite effect, making you seem desperate, needy, and very unattractive.

3) Now’s a great time to do the things you’ve been putting off as far as enhancing your appearance. If your smile isn’t its best, get a whitening kit or see an orthodontist. If your wardrobe’s a little outdated, go shopping! If you’ve been sighing at a couple extra pounds every time you stand in front of the bathroom mirror, then go on Jenny Craig or something! Get healthy and beautiful! It’ll do wonders for your confidence, and could help a lot in getting back your ex too.

4) Once you’ve got yourself looking like a movie star, ring up some friends and hit the town! Having fun at social hotspots with people who care about you is great for getting over the breakup pain, and it can yank your ex’s attention straight to you if he happens to see or hear about you somehow. Even if you feel horrible inside, putting up the appearance of “being strong, moving on, and living life to the fullest” makes you a hundred times more attractive, and seeing you that way will burn you into his mind..
